About UncropPhoto

A single-purpose tool for one honest job: getting back what was outside the frame.

Why it exists

Almost every photo tool helps you take things away — crop tighter, cut the background, trim the edges. Far fewer help you put the frame back. UncropPhoto is built for exactly that moment: the shot that was framed too tight, the landscape that needs to become a story, the screenshot you cropped and now want to check.

It does the job two honest ways. It builds new edges from the picture — instantly, or with a neural edge painter that continues the scene — and it reads what a cropped file still carries, so you can recover a real original when one is there and clear it when you'd rather it weren't.

Private by design

The whole tool runs in your browser. Your photos are never uploaded, because there is no server to upload them to — only a static site and, if you choose, a one-time model download that travels one way to you. That isn't a policy we promise; it's how the thing is built.

Honest about limits

Uncropping cannot bring back a person or object that was cropped out — those pixels are gone. We say so on every page where it matters, and we show how much of each result is newly built. A tool you can trust is one that tells you what it can't do.

Your photos never leave your device.
